Taquaritinga, the birth place of the Barça number ’15’, has experienced an important day this Thursday. The player’s foundation, along with the FC Barcelona foundation have both joined forces; despite only agreeing to do it one month ago. ‘Semeando sonhos’ (planting/seeding dreams) is the name given to the project which wants to help children in unfavourable conditions in Brazil. Attending the presentation was also the director of international projects of the club, Marta Segú.

This foundation, 330km from Sau Paulo, will be attended by 150 children aged between 7 and 17 years of age. The FC Barcelona foundation will help to finance the project over the next four years. The project will try to help over 500 children.

‘Semeando Sonhos’ will have various things available to the children: computers, professional and cultural awareness courses, school classes, a library and also football pitches and spaces for other sport and leisure activities. All this to help children in less than favourable conditions in Taquaritinga and to give them what the current Barça player, Edmilson, had in his days as a child.
