The FIFA Club World Cup reaches a climax this week with the arrival of European champions FC Barcelona and Copa do Libertadores champions Internacional.

Both are Seeded teams and would not meet until the final of the competition involving the world’s six continental champions.

Barcelona face Mexico’s Club America who are through after a 1-0 win over Chonbuk Motors. The Mexicans will tackle Barcelona on Thursday in the semi-final.

Meanwhile African champions Al Ahli beat New Zealand’s Auckland City 2-0 on Sunday to earn a game against Brazil’s Internacional on Wednesday.

FC Barcelona and Ronaldinho have been bigging up the tournament after accusations that it is not valued in Europe.

“We only need to win twice, but neither game will be easy. I feel stronger about winning this because I didn’t win the World Cup”

“For a Brazilian club, the match always meant a lot because it was a chance to play a European club, so the tournament is one I personally want to win.” Ronaldinho told the Japanese press.
