Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s job appears to be safe for now, following three Real Madrid defeats in a row. But the fans and directors expect much more from their ‘galaticos’ than was on show against Espanyol last night.

Real Madrid have lost their last three games, Celta Vigo 3-2, Lyon 3-0 and Espanyol 1-0 last night.

Madrid’s attacking line up would appear to be one of the best in world football. However, so far the Brazilian’s Baptista, Ronaldo and Robinho have all failed to find the back of the net on a regular basis.

Luckily for Madrid, Barcelona didn’t capitalise on their defeat, as they lost 2-1 to Athletico Madrid.

Luxemburgo has been given unprecedented control at Real Madrid and it appears that the clubs President is supporting him, for now. But Luxemburgo needs to get his players scoring or he could find himself out of a job in the next few weeks.
