Cruzeiro are set to make their final signing of a busy transfer window in the coming days with the arrival of Santos defender Bruno Rodrigo.
Bruno Rodrigo, 27, will sign a one-year contract for the Belo Horizonte side in the coming days, having negotiated his release from his current Santos contract.
The player arrives at the behest of new Cruzeiro manager Marcelo Oliveira, who recommended the player to the club’s board.
“Bruno is a good defender and he’s good in the air also. He has good stamina and will help us a lot this season,” the Cruzeiro manager told reporters.
The player is the third centre-back to arrive at the Toca da Raposa 2 this off-season, following the signings of Criciúma’s Nirley and Guangzhou Evergrande’s Paulão.
The team, though, remain linked to the signing of veteran Uruguayan Diego Lugano in the European media.
