Another eventful round of the Brazilian championship has passed and the title race is starting to take shape as we head towards the final stretch of the year. Matchday 24 of the 2024 Brasileirão was filled with intriguing results, including Fluminense’s win to escape from the relegation zone.
The Tricolor carioca, who had been languishing in the bottom four for several months, finally managed to pull themselves out of the lower part of the table with a crucial away victory against Atlético Mineiro. At the other end of the table, Fortaleza finished the round at the top of the standings, thanks to their win over Corinthians and the draw between Botafogo and Bahia. These results set the stage for a thrilling showdown in the next round when the Leão visit the Glorioso in Rio de Janeiro, with the top spot on the line.
