Alex Dias interview
[photo=alex_dias.jpg id=19 align=left]– Which are your objectives for 2004?
I"m hopefull! I had been playing in a french club called St Etienne and I came to Cruzeiro the last year. Here I have won the brazilian league despite the fact I have played just a few games.
Nowadays, for the beginning of the season, I"m training with the group and giving the best of myself in order to prove my real value and to score a lot of goals for my new team and for the supporters.
– How has been your integration to the club?
It"s been nice! I think the team is very close and it"s very important to be like that if we want to be able to win a lot of titles this season.
When I arrived to this club, I was welcome with open arms by the trainers and my other colleagues, by everybody !
– What was the impact of Rivaldo"s arrival?
The arrival of a player like Rivaldo paralyse all the city as well as the entire group.
Everybody stays fascinated!
He"s really a very good player and all the group has had positive feelings since his arrival; he"s a very cool person.
Just the fact of knowing he is a “pentacampeão" gives us morale and incentive for working harder over and over.
– Do you think Rivaldo"s arrival represents a real asset for Cruzeiro"s success or that the team would had the same performance without him?
Certainly his arrival influences the group.
I think he has come for helping the club.
I think that if we can count on a player like Rivaldo, we have all we need to have successin this season.
– Would you like to come back to France some day?
Yes, sure! I have a lot of friends there. I"ve met people which were very important for my life.
I think I would like to come back at least to travel around and visit my friends in Paris, Saint Etienne and Marseille.
– Are you already in touch with your ex-partner of Paris SG and St Etienne, Aloísio?
Yes, of course! Aloisio is playing in Russia but we have been together in Goiânia for the last holidays.
