Robinho"s agent has confirmed negotiations with Benfica, PSV Eindhoven and Internazionale are ongoing – while Chelsea are still being tipped as the money men behind the whole transfer.
The Brazilian starlet looks set to move in January, with Europe"s elite jostling to secure the services of South America"s top young talent.
The domestic season is due to finish in December and at this point it is expected Robinho will head for his new club.
Chelsea failed with a bid for Robinho in August, but now it seems the 20-year-old has accepted his fate lies in Europe.
“We are going to see," said the youngster.
“My objective is to close the year well and help the Saints conquer the title.
“I want to continue playing well."
Robinho"s agent Wagner Ribeiro confirmed talks have commenced with Benfica, PSV and Inter – without mentioning Chelsea.
“Jose Veiga [Benfica chief] telephoned me for talks, but we did not reach any conclusion, because there are offers from two other clubs," Ribeiro told Antenna One.
“They are the Dutch [PSV] and the other is Italian [Inter]."
Ribeiro confirmed that a move to Portugal would be easier because of the language barrier, but the player himself stated last month that he would love to play for PSV.
Chelsea are also being linked in a deal that would see them part finance a move to Benifca, with the promise of first option on the striker.
However, Brazilian sources are suggesting The Blues have not yet entered the bidding for a player they are very keen on.
Despite the insistence that Chelsea would help Benfica, a possible deal with PSV cannot be ruled out as The Blues already have an understanding with the Dutch giants.
Chelsea helped finance PSV"s move for Brazilian defender Alex, ironically also from Santos, earlier this year and it would seem that The Blues would be more liable to negotiate with the Dutch side.
However, should Chelsea secure a deal – they may let the player choose between Holland and Portugal.
Despite all the talk, Santos president Marcelo Teixeira is standing firm – insisting that Robinho will be staying put.
“I have already said clearly that we don"t have any interest in negotiating Robinho at this moment," he said.
“I have already warned Ribeiro [his agent] about this and told him not to tell us about any offer at least until the end of the year.
“I have also said this to all the agents that ask us about the player because I want him fully concentrated in the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Sudamericana so I will not permit any interference from agents."
The Santos supremo admitted the rumours about Chelsea brokering a deal may well be true.
“That"s a rumour but it could be true, I don"t know and really don"t care at this moment," he said.
“I have also heard that the player would be bought by Benfica but loaned to PSV Eindhoven. But that"s not something that we care about at this moment because as I said before we want the player to stay here and we are not in negotiations with anyone."
