Veteran Brazilian striker Romario is at the centre of a row with Fluminense after falling out with his coach Alexandre Gama.

The flamboyant striker could leave the Brazilian giants within the next few days, if reports from Brazil are to be believed.

Romario initially held the support of Fluminense president David Fischel but after being booed off when substituted at the weekend, this now appears to have waned.

”The priority of my club is the coach Alexandre Gama,” said Fischel.

”He is the person in charge for deciding which players will play and which others will not and they have to accept what the coach decides.”
