Called up to the Brazilian Under-15 National Team, Liz Valverde returns this Tuesday (5) to Espírito Santo, after a week at Granja Comary. The Porto Vitória defender participated in a training game against Teresópolis’ main women’s team, in an 8-1 victory.

“It was the best experience possible! And it was a unique experience because, in addition to being called up for the first time, it was the first time I played with girls and I really enjoyed playing with them. About the game, I felt good, I felt safe and I think I contributed to my team. Every day and every game I will look for evolution. I thank the technical committee for the opportunity and for all the teachings. During a week I learned a lot of things that I will definitely take with me for the rest of my journey”, says the 13-year-old player.

Liz became, on October 21st, the first woman in history to play among men in official football competitions in Espírito Santo, during the Capixaba Under-13 Championship. The feat was possible after the Football Federation of the State of Espírito Santo followed the directive of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), which this year regulated mixed football in amateur competitions.
