Left-back Tamires is the winner of the Samba Gold 2024 trophy. At 37 years old, the Corinthians player won the prestigious award for the second time, repeating the feat from the previous year, when she won for the first time in her career.

Tamires was at the top of the podium, beating strong competitors, such as Gabi Portilho and Ludmila, who took second and third place, respectively. The Corinthians player maintained her leadership after a brilliant season, standing out for both club and national team.

The success in the Samba Gold vote is mainly due to Corinthians’ winning season, which, in 2024, won the Brazilian Super Cup, the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tamires played a fundamental role in all three victories, being one of the team’s main leaders throughout the year.

Despite her brilliant season, Tamires did not participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The player suffered an injury that prevented her from being available for the Brazilian team for the tournament, frustrating her desire to win another Olympic medal.
