Barbara, excited about the next World Cup
At 35, the Flamengo goalkeeper knows that this may be her last chance to win her first star with her country. Still as a youth, she helped his country win the bronze medal at the Under-20 World Cup in 2006. Thereafter, Bárbara built an outstanding career that included a silver medal at Beijing 2008.
In total, she has played in four World Cups and four Olympic Games with the national team. Therefore, she was part of different groups of players throughout her long career. However, she maintains that this group has something different.
“This group is very different. I have already participated in several other groups, and this is a very new group, with a lot of intelligence. Individualism in the collective makes a total difference. That’s why I believe a lot in the work that is being done,” he explained.
