In an atypical decision, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) appointed a working coach to take the reins of the national team. This is Fernando Diniz, who will combine his role as coach of Fluminense with that of Brazil.
Although logically this appointment took many by surprise, it would be a temporary measure until Carlo Ancelotti can free himself from Real Madrid and thus take charge of the Seleção. In the meantime, the hopes of the Brazilian people will be in the hands of Diniz, a coach with a long history in his country.
