Fernando Diniz was officially presented yesterday (5) as the new coach of the Brazilian National Team and also gave his first interview in the role. The chosen one couldn’t avoid questions about the future of the squad and maily about the influence that Carlo Ancelotti will have in this cycle in the road to 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Diniz’s debut on the sidelines is scheduled for September, in the two initial rounds of the Brazilian National Team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers: on the 4th and 12th, against Bolivia, in a venue to be defined, and Peru, in Lima. In August, the coach will announce his first squad as Brazil boss. During this period, Diniz will remain as Fluminense coach.

“I’ve never talked to Ancelotti. A very clear condition for carrying out my work is total freedom, and one of the things I have to do is the call-ups. CBF president was very clear with that.
