What if Brazil lose to Colombia?
If Brazil lose to Colombia, Dorival’s team will depend on the result between Costa Rica and Paraguay. If the Ticos win, the goal differential will come into play. Brazil have an advantage in that aspect unless they suffer a heavy defeat and Gustavo Alfaro’s team wins by several goals.
In any case, Brazil will automatically qualify if Costa Rica does not win, regardless of their own result against Colombia.
