Endrick was the big surprise on Fernando Diniz’s squad for the November international break. Despite being only 17 years old, the Brazilian coach decided to call up the Palmeiras gem for the matches against Colombia and Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers. In just a few training sessions, the young forward has already made an impression, even on his teammates.
“I think (Endrick) is an enormous talent that we are witnessing being born. He is a great player. He’s a bit shy, but that’s normal. He knows some players, and we are trying to get him to talk more with us,” midfielder Bruno Guimaraes told reporters.

An exciting future
While it may seem that he is too young to be part of the senior national team, Guimaraes believes that this experience will help Endrick to learn and exchange ideas with those who already have a long history with the Seleção. “He will feel comfortable here; everyone will welcome him,” said the Newcastle star.
The Alviverde prospect has gained a lot of prominence in his club in recent weeks after being ignored by Abel Ferreira for months. With 12 goals in the season, he is proving why Real Madrid decided to secure his signing in advance. The forward will join Los Blancos in July 2024, when he turns 18.
