The Brazilian Women’s National Team is about to take another step towards its first FIFA World Cup star. This Saturday (29), at 7 am (Brasília time), Canarinho faces an old acquaintance: France.
Currently, Brazil leads group F in the competition, with three points. In the first round of the World Cup, the team beat Panama 4-0, with three goals from Ary Borges and one from Bia Zaneratto. Brazil vs France retrospect
This is the third time that the teams face each other in World Cups. The first time was in 2003, in the group stage, in which the teams ended in a 1-1 draw. The last meeting between Brazil and France was in 2019, this time in the round of 16, where the hosts overcame Canarinho by 2 to 1 in overtime.
In all, the teams faced each other eleven times in official and friendly matches, with five draws and six defeats for the Brazilian team. This year, Brazil seeks to reverse this retrospect and conquer the first victory against the French.
