With Qatar 2022 in the rear-view mirror, it’s time for the Brazilian national team to turn the page. The road to the 2026 World Cup will not start until September, but the Seleção will return to action in June for a series of international friendlies.
Brazil will first take on Guinea on June 17 in Barcelona, before facing Senegal three days later in Lisbon. Ramon Menezes, who is currently in Argentina at the helm of the U20s, will continue as interim manager until the CBF confirms a permanent coach.

Brazil still haven’t named a permanent manager after Tite
It’s been months since Tite resigned, but it’s taken longer than predicted for the federation to find a replacement. Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly been the board’s favorite from day one, but his contract situation at Real Madrid always made him a difficult target.
With Carletto reportedly out of the race, Brazil now have to switch their attention to other candidates. This situation is quite concerning, because even if the World Cup Qualifiers are still months away, the June window would have been useful for the new coach to start getting to know the players before the official competition begins.
