Brazil’s premature elimination from the Copa América continues to resonate strongly. Vinicius has now dedicated a post to the subject, in a heartfelt text in which he apologized for having missed the duel with Uruguay due to an accumulation of yellow cards, mentioned “the feeling of frustration” generated by the loss on penalties and predicted that the team “will return to the top.”
“The Copa America is over and it’s time to reflect, to know how to deal with defeat. The feeling of frustration is taking hold of us again,” wrote the Real Madrid striker on Instagram. “Once again it’s on penalties,” he lamented, referring to the elimination from the 2022 World Cup in the quarter-finals against Croatia.

“I failed to receive two avoidable yellow cards. Once again I watched the elimination from the sidelines. But this time it was my fault. I apologize for that. I know how to listen to criticism and, believe me, the harshest comes from home,” Vini said in the post, accompanied by a photo in which he wears the Brazilian shirt under intense shadow.
“Fortunately, my career with the national team has only just begun. Together with my teammates, I will have the opportunity to bring our team back to its rightful place,” added the striker, also leaving a message of optimism. “We will return to the top! I love you all and we are together!” he exclaimed.
