Vasco President Pedrinho revealed on Thursday that 777 Partners is looking to sell its controlling stake in the football department of the club. During a press conference at São Januário, he outlined the reasons behind the club’s move to initiate legal proceedings to wrest control from 777 Partners after a deal with a potential investor fell through.

Pedrinho also addressed his relationship with José Roberto Lamacchia, co-owner of Crefisa. Last October, Lamacchia expressed interest in acquiring naming rights for São Januário Stadium if Pedrinho won the presidency.
The Vasco president emphasized that his relationship with Lamacchia is direct and free from conflicts, unrelated to Crefisa’s other co-owner, Leila Pereira.
Crefisa confirmed they have not engaged in talks to buy Vasco’s football operations. Additionally, Leila Pereira, president of both Crefisa and Palmeiras, recently denied on the “Roda Vida” TV program any plans to invest in Vasco, affirming the club’s independence in its ongoing governance challenges.
