In a captivating video shared across social media platforms, Ronaldinho shares his genuine excitement about his upcoming visit to Thailand. Extend the invitation to teqball enthusiasts and players alike, urging them to join the festivities at the Bangkok Arena on December 2-3.

Beyond the chance to meet Ronaldinho, fans will be treated to an intimate setting where they can mingle with not only the Brazilian star but also the crème de la crème of teqball players worldwide.

What is Teqball?

In 2012, three football enthusiasts from Hungary—Gábor Borsányi, György Gattyán, and Viktor Huszar—invented Teqball. Inspired by playing football on a table tennis table, Borsányi had a creative idea. He found that the ball didn’t bounce well on the flat table, making the game less enjoyable.

To solve this, he imagined bending the table to create an arched surface that could help the ball bounce to the foot. After years of development with Huszar, the first Teqball table was made in 2014.

Teqball is a unique ball sport played on a curved table, blending elements of sepak takraw and table tennis. Players hit a football back and forth, using any part of the body except arms and hands. It can be a singles game with two players or a doubles game with four players.

It will be an epic showcase of skill and determination as 214 athletes hailing from 61 countries engage in a fierce competition across five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

The action unfolds on two remarkable fields, commencing at the Indoor Stadium, Hua Mark, from November 29 to December 1 and culminating in a grand finale at the Bangkok Arena on December 2-3. Don’t miss this extraordinary display of talent and camaraderie.
