A native of Guarulhos, Rebeca Andrade burst onto the scene at the Tokyo 2020 Games, becoming the first Brazilian gymnast to medal at the Olympics. She won gold on vault and silver in the all-around. Her performances in Paris capped her rise to the highest level in the world.

In the individual all-around competition, Rebeca Andrade delivered a fierce duel against the queen of gymnastics, the American Simone Biles.
