After leaving Chelsea’s American tour, his main club until 2030, Andrey Santos joined the Strasbourg team this Thursday in Lautenbach. The official announcement of his loan in the colours of Racing was expected immediately after his arrival. However, administrative delays prevented the agreement from being finalised.
Negotiations drag on
At 20 years old, the talented Carioca midfielder finds himself in a waiting situation. The parties involved, including those based on the other side of the Atlantic, have yet to approve and sign the necessary documents for his transfer. This setback has pushed back the officialization of the loan.
Andrey Santos’ loan should finally be confirmed this Friday, just before the double friendly confrontation against SC Fribourg in Colmar scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Racing supporters hope to see their new recruit shine in the blue jersey in these matches, but patience is required until the official announcement.
As a reminder, the player was already loaned last season by Chelsea to Strasbourg. He played 11 matches there and scored one goal.
Andrey Santos thus represents a choice reinforcement for Racing Club de Strasbourg, his signing should only be a matter of days, or hours.
