According to Bild, Bayern Munich are expressing serious interest in Marquinhos. The German daily indicates that Bayern Munich would actively seek to strengthen its defensive sector during the next summer transfer window. The Bavarian club, currently second in the Bundesliga, would not have found satisfaction in this position under the direction of Thomas Tuchel, and the latter would have suggested the name of Marquinhos to its management.

Although Marquinhos is primarily a defender, he had the opportunity to help out in midfield under Tuchel, with convincing performances. Looking for a strong player in duels and with remarkable game vision, Bayern would see in Marquinhos the ideal profile to strengthen their defensive midfielder.

Since his arrival from AS Roma in 2013, Marquinhos has marked the history of the Parisian club. Captain since the departure of Thiago Silva in 2020, he has 84 caps with the Brazilian national team and remains a pillar of the French defense. However, his performances have sometimes been criticized, particularly for his supposed mental lapses during major events.

Despite these criticisms, the renowned defender is under contract with PSG until 2028, which complicates any attempt to leave.

Convincing PSG to let go of their captain will be an arduous task for the Bavarians.
