While Chelsea had seemed to be in pole position to recruit Moscardo, Brazilian media are reporting a major turnaround. PSG, competing with the Blues for the player, would now be ahead in the negotiations. Despite a first offer from Chelsea of 20 million euros refused by Corinthians, nothing was sealed for the moment.

PSG ahead in the race

We learn that the advanced discussions between the player’s agent, Rodolfo Ximenes, and Luis Campos of PSG, suggest a favorable outcome for Paris. The Parisian club seems to have gained the upper hand over Chelsea in this competition to secure the services of the young Brazilian prodigy. However, Corinthians, holding 80% of Moscardo’s economic rights, hope to obtain an amount of around 25 million euros.

The completion of this transfer also depends on the agreement of the two successive presidents of Corinthians, Duilio Monteiro and Augusto Melo, the latter having to agree to conclude the deal. A possible option would be to loan Moscardo to his current club until the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Luis Campos on his way to Brazil

Luis Campos, PSG sports advisor, is preparing to meet Brazilian leaders to finalize this transfer. His presence in the next match between Corinthians and Internacional could be decisive. Corinthians estimate Moscardo’s value at between €20m and €25m, a sum PSG would be willing to pay to secure the young talent’s signature.

In the meantime, Moscardo was once again decisive last night by scoring the decisive goal, his first of the season, which gave Corinthians a 4-2 victory against Dimitri Payet’s Vasco.

The Brazilian team definitely still has a bright future ahead of it.
