On September 6, São Paulo will host the first official NFL game to be played in South America. Tickets are already sold out, and the stadium is currently being remodeled to host what will be a true celebration, although there was still one issue to be defined that became central: the color of the uniforms.

Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers usually wear green when playing at home. And the clash will be at the Neo Química Arena, home of Corinthians, where this color is not welcomed due to its rivalry with Palmeiras.

As soon as the venue was confirmed, the Corinthians’ leaders started talks with their counterparts from the Eagles, who will be the home team, to avoid them using their traditional uniform. It seems that this dialogue was fruitful, as the franchise announced an unprecedented outfit for the commitment in São Paulo.

Coached by Nick Sirianni, the Eagles will wear a white shirt combined with black, both in the pants and the helmet, thus wearing the same colors as Corinthians.

Meanwhile, the Packers have so far shown on social networks their traditional uniform, although this may also have another explanation. The team uses green and yellow, a combination that also characterizes the Brazilian soccer team.

If the Eagles go in black and white, while the Packers predominantly wear green, it will be a kind of re-edition of the Paulista Derby, although in American football. The classic is the largest in the state, one of the oldest in Brazil (the first duel dates from 1917) and considered one of the most important in the world.
