Palmeiras is cracking down after an incident involving a fan who exposed himself during Wednesday’s Copa Libertadores match against Botafogo at Allianz Parque.

The club has vowed to impose serious penalties, including potentially banning the individual from its fan membership program and barring them from purchasing tickets to future games.

The offensive act occurred after a tense 2-2 draw that knocked Palmeiras out of the tournament. Caught on video, the fan in a white shirt not only exposed himself but also made obscene gestures towards a Botafogo supporter. The victim has since reported the incident to the police.

Palmeiras, in a firm statement, expressed its commitment to rooting out such behavior: “We do not tolerate criminal conduct at our club and will take all appropriate measures to ensure accountability.” The club is working closely with the Sports Crimes Repression Unit to identify and penalize the fan responsible.
