During the four minutes that this face-to-face message lasts with the veteran defender, he explains the impact that Chelsea has had on his career, on the lives of his families and on a personal level, since it is a club that he has fallen in love with and who hopes to return one day fulfilling another function.
The Brazilian also recalled some of his best moments wearing this shirt, highlighting the UEFA Champions League trophy as one of his greatest achievements and closed with a message of reunion, with tears in his eyes and a completely broken voice:
“Farewells are for those who leave and do not return, and I intend to return one day.”
Thiago Silva’s injury did not change his plans
In Chelsea’s last game, against Aston Villa in the Premier League, the Brazilian came off the bench in the final minutes due to groin discomfort.
At the end of the match, Pochettino assured that the extent of these discomforts would be studied to rule out a major injury, but he compared these ailments with similar ones that Thiago already suffered in mid-February, when he missed three games due to a minor groin injury.
🔵🇧🇷 One more potential injury at Chelsea. Pochettino: "We need to assess Thiago Silva and see. It is a pain in his groin, I think it is similar to his injury at Crystal Palace".

Despite the injury and the risk of not playing for Chelsea again, Thiago Silva did not change his plans and with this emotional video, he announced his permanent departure from the London club.
Will he have one last game at Stamford Bridge?
Chelsea still have to play five games in the Premier League, three at home and two away. The last game of the season will be at Stamford Bridge, against Bournemouth, on May 19, so, if his injury is minor and only takes him a couple of weeks away, he could say goodbye to his fans in this match.
