Nottingham Forest look set to part ways with one of their Brazilian players. According to several English media, the English club would have accepted an offer for Gustavo Scarpa, who arrived last winter from Fluminense.

Loaned this season to Olympiacos without much success, the 29-year-old attacking midfielder has never really convinced in the Reds jersey. Author of only 10 appearances without any direct involvement in a goal, Scarpa has failed to establish himself in the Premier League.

A transfer to Brazil that suits all parties

Back from loan, his future was far from Nottingham. It is now in the direction of Brazil that the player should fly. Indeed, Internacional would have made a proposal of 3.5 million euros accepted by Forest. The Porto Alegre club, already interested in the past, is this time confident about the conclusion of the transfer.

For Nottingham, it seems wise to let Scarpa go. Poorly adapted to the physical level of the English championship, the Brazilian also earned 35,000 euros per week, which dissuaded some local suitors. For his part, the 29-year-old should return to the joys of Brazilian football after a mixed experience in Europe.
