The announcement is clear: the “ bandeira vermelha ” classification system will be activated, signifying a maximum level of risk according to the Risk Assessment in force in Stadiums in Brazil (AREF). This results in particular in the mobilization of nearly 2,000 security agents, made up of police officers, urban controllers and recruits specially trained to avoid any excesses.

Repetition of the protocol in place for the Libertadores
This approach is not new: remember that this security strategy has already proven itself during the much-publicized final between Fluminense and Boca Juniors. The authorities have learned lessons from recent conflicts in the streets of Rio de Janeiro to better understand this major clash.
For the sake of organization, the 69,900 tickets available were carefully distributed, with the majority sold and a part specifically dedicated to Argentine fans, directed towards the southern sector of the stadium.
From 6:30 p.m., the stadium gates will open while surrounding streets will be closed to traffic to ensure the safety of the surrounding area. No less than 800 private security agents will be present, in addition to the 650 military police officers of the Bepe system and more than 370 other members of the police.
