Last year, a deal for Paquetá fell through when he was nearly sanctioned for breaking betting rules. Despite this, City has reached an agreement on personal terms with Paquetá.
Since joining West Ham from Lyon in 2022, Paquetá has been vital for manager David Moyes, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in 38 games this season.
However, he will miss West Ham’s upcoming Europa League quarter-final against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday due to suspension from accumulating too many yellow cards.
