“Clashes, laughs, and words are part of the game, but mocking and celebrating in the manner they did doesn’t make sense,” Suárez remarked while speaking to reporters.

His comments is a moment of sportsmanship contrast, recalling how his team conducted themselves with respect after defeating Brazil earlier in the tournament. “We eliminated Brazil and none of us mocked any Brazilian player. We actually went to greet them, understanding the pain of defeat,” he added.

“…karma always comes back,”

Suárez’s remarks shed light on the tension that sometimes flares on the pitch, the emotional highs and lows that come with competitive sports. “Walking past a fellow professional in such a manner looks bad, but remember, the one above sees everything and karma always comes back,” Suárez warned.

The 37-year-old forward, who has taken a less central role under coach Marcelo Bielsa during this Copa América, also emphasized the importance of unity and resilience. “As a group, we need to rise, stay strong, and stay united. We will often face situations like this,” he concluded, pointing towards the future challenges and the mental toughness required to overcome them.
