This move, however, comes with a catch: if he seals the deal with Everton, he’ll need to unload his 45% stake in Crystal Palace to comply with Premier League rules, which forbid owning stakes in multiple clubs.

Since 2016, Everton has been under Farhad Moshiri’s ownership, who’s now on the lookout for buyers to take over his share. Textor’s potential acquisition could mean significant changes not just for Everton but also for his holdings company, Eagle Football Holdings, which might need to divest from Crystal Palace to move forward.

The Premier League’s ownership regulations are clear and leave no room for negotiation, putting Textor in a position where he has to choose which club aligns best with his long-term vision.

This decision could reshape his business strategy and impact the dynamics within these clubs. The football community watches closely for Textor’s next steps.
