Inter have no room for speculation in their home game against Rosario Central in the Copa Sudamericana. The Brazilian team lost 1-0 in Argentina and only a win by two or more goals will be enough to qualify for the round of 16, where Fortaleza awaits.
The Porto Alegre team is heading into the decisive match in the midst of a footballing crisis: it has gone eight games without a win in all competitions. Last week, coach Eduardo ‘Chacho’ Coudet was dismissed and, without delay, Roger Machado was appointed in his place.

Former star of their arch-rivals, Grêmio, the new coach had a defeat in his debut. Inter lost 1-0 to leader Botafogo in the Brasileirão and remained in 13th place, four points above the relegation zone, although with four games in hand.
These matches were postponed due to the tragic floods that hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul between late April and mid-May. That emergency, which left more than 170 dead and tens of thousands evacuated, also rendered the Beira-Rio stadium unusable, forcing the team to play its home matches in different cities in southern Brazil.

The Beira-Rio stadium will be the stage for the match, which will be played at 9:30 p.m. (Brasilia time) with Uruguayan Gustavo Tejera as referee. However, Colorado president Alessandro Barcellos admitted that there is a “technical difficulty” in recovering the grass, which could cause the stadium to be inoperative again.
