Despite the greatness of the men’s team, Brazilian women’s football has always been a must in the women’s World Cups, since, in the bulk of the tournament’s honors, Brazil only accumulated one runner-up finish in the distant year of 1999.

Historical achievements of the Women’s World Cup

Undoubtedly, the greatest women’s team in the entire history of the World Cup is the United States National Team. This country, which is not a benchmark in men’s soccer, but is in women’s soccer, managed to win the first edition of the Women’s World Cup in 1991 and has accumulated a total of four World Cup titles.

They are followed, but not very closely, by the German team, a country that won the World Cup twice. Norway, Japan and Spain complete the list of winners, each country with a World Cup title under their belt.
