Fluminense will have to adapt to FIFA requirements for the Club World Cup

Fluminense fans will have to get used to slight changes to their team’s jerseys during their upcoming participation in the Club World Cup. Indeed, FIFA applies its own regulations concerning the display of sponsors on tunics.

Modifications imposed by FIFA

Only the main sponsor may be visible on the front part of the jersey, alongside the sports equipment supplier. Other sponsors will have to disappear in order to comply. Their size will also be reduced.

On the shoulders, two FIFA patches will appear. At the back, the players’ names must appear above the number, which will also be reduced in size.

These few modifications will allow the cariocas jerseys to meet the regulatory requirements of the world body for the competition. A tournament that the Fluminense will play in 2023, but also in 2025 thanks to its coronation in the Copa Libertadores.

The French players will launch their global campaign on December 18 against the winner of the Al Ahly-Al-Ittihad or Auckland City match. The opportunity for them to shine wearing a somewhat different jersey on the international scene.
