During the preparations this week, Coach Diniz has been actively experimenting with various starting formations for Fluminense. In one notable formation, the team comprised Fábio, Samuel Xavier, Felipe Melo, André, and Marcelo; followed by a midfield of Martinelli, Terans, Ganso, and Renato Augusto; and fronted by the striking duo of Arias and Cano.

In a different strategic setup, Thiago Santos was paired with Felipe Melo in the defensive line. This change meant Terans was moved to the bench, and André took up a position in the midfield alongside Martinelli. Keno was also introduced as a starter, joining Arias and Cano in the attack.

The probable lineup for the upcoming clash is projected to be Fábio, Guga, Felipe Melo, Thiago Santos, and Marcelo in defense; a midfield quartet of André, Martinelli, Ganso, and Keno (or possibly Renato Augusto); and the attacking partnership of Arias and Cano.

The team’s latest acquisition, David Terans, is set to feature against Bangu. His debut was originally planned for the previous round against Nova Iguaçu but was postponed due to a delay in the arrival of some essential documents. Now fully registered and available for selection, his participation is keenly anticipated. Despite being registered, Douglas Costa is notably absent from the list of players set to participate.
