FC Barcelona has decided to pay tribute to one of its former flagship players, Neymar Jr. In fact, the Catalan club has added the Brazilian’s name to the list of legends present on their official website.

From 2013 to 2017, Neymar played in the Blaugrana jersey, marking the club’s history with his performances and his trophies won. With 186 matches played and 105 goals scored, he greatly participated in Barça’s successes during this period, notably by winning the Champions League in 2015.

The man who was considered the successor to Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona knew how to charm the supporters by his technique and his complicity with the other members of the Barcelona attack.

Despite his controversial departure to Paris Saint-Germain for a record fee of 220 million euros in 2017, Neymar retains a special affection for the Catalan club. Often criticized after his transfer, the Brazilian has continued to affirm his love for Barça. He later even tried to return to Catalonia, in vain.

Today, without really communicating it, FC Barcelona has decided to honor the career of the man who was one of its best players by adding him to the list of legends present on their website. Neymar now rubs shoulders with names such as Juliano Belletti, Pedro Rodriguez, David Villa and Ivan Rakitic.
