Evanilson joins Bournemouth in €47M move from Porto

Former Fluminense striker steps in to fill the gap left by Solanke's departure to Tottenham.

Evanilson is packing his bags for Bournemouth, freshly signed from Porto for a cool 47 million euros. Porto gets 37 million right off the bat, with a possible 10 million more based on how Evanilson performs. They also snag a 10% cut if Bournemouth ever sells him on.

Why Bournemouth? They’re looking to fill the gap left by Solanke, who’s off to Tottenham. And Evanilson? He’s not just any replacement. After knocking in 25 goals last season at Porto, he’s caught plenty of eyes, not least of which is Brazil’s coach, Dorival Júnior, who picked him for the 2024 Copa América squad.

Since his start at Fluminense and his leap to Porto in 2020, Evanilson’s been on the rise. But the Premier League’s a different beast—faster, tougher. It’s going to be a test to see if he can match or even top his performance in Portugal.
