Coach Dorival Júnior has called up Cruzeiro’s full-back William to the Brazilian national team, replacing Yan Couto who’s out with health issues.

After starting his career at Internacional, William made a move to Wolfsburg in 2018, then circled back to Brazil last year to play for Cruzeiro. Now at 29, he’s back in the international frame just in time for some crucial matches.
