Gabriel Magalhães might miss the Copa América friendlies due to injury, and his replacement is still up in the air. In a recent practice open to the media, coach Dorival lined up Bremer next to Marquinhos, sidelining Beraldo and Éder Militão.

This move surprised many, as Dorival usually favors left-footed defenders on the left side, a role typically held by Magalhães. If Dorival picks Bremer, it would defy his usual pattern. However, Beraldo, who has moved from São Paulo to PSG, could also step in.

He’s had recent starts against England and Spain that bolster his case. Meanwhile, Éder Militão lags behind in the selection race. Even after recovering from a major injury, he remains a backup at Real Madrid, which seems likely to continue with the national team.
