Carried by an iron defense, the Auriverde handball players stifled their opponents from the start. But it was their goalkeeper Gabi Moreschi who truly dazzled the crowd at the Arena Paris Sud. Author of 14 saves, or 45% success, she shone in her goal. Her prowess earned her a shower of praise on social networks and in the specialized press.

With confidence, the Brazilians developed a fast counter-attack game. Their enthusiasm and application in defense destabilized the Spanish, who were well muzzled throughout the match. In attack, all the players were skillful, like Bruna de Paula and Samira Rocha, who each scored 5 goals.

After the match, the Brazilian coach congratulated herself on this victory which launched her team perfectly into the competition: “The girls were extraordinary. Their commitment and collective cohesion made the difference.”
