In the post-match press conference, Dorival identified three stronger teams in South America. “Argentina, the world champions, command respect. Colombia is improving rapidly. Uruguay, with its renewed and consistent squad, also stands out,” he noted. “We must stay alert.”
Despite the impressive victory, Dorival emphasized the need for constant focus. “Every match demands high levels of attention and concentration,” he said. “A lapse in focus can be costly.”
Brazil’s progress is evident, but the team isn’t the clear favorite this year. “We have to face reality based on recent results,” Dorival admitted. “But with hard work, we can change perceptions.”
With four points in Group D, Brazil needs just one more point against Colombia to advance. A win would secure the top spot in the group.
The victory over Paraguay is promising, yet challenges remain. Dorival’s call for vigilance and focus will be crucial as Brazil navigates the rest of the tournament.
