Last Thursday, Belém was selected as a new host city for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, announced Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). This addition means that the Mangueirão Stadium in Belém will join ten other stadiums across Brazil in hosting the tournament.
Initially, the World Cup plan included stadiums like Maracanã in Rio and Corinthians Arena in São Paulo but didn’t list Belém.

The World Cup will run from June 24 to July 25, 2027. It is the first time South America will host the premier women’s football event, with Brazil automatically qualifying as the host nation.
Alongside World Cup preparations, the Mangueirão Stadium is also slated to host the Supercopa Rei in 2025, kicking off the official CBF calendar with a showdown between the Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil champions.

- Corinthians Arena (Sao Paulo)
- Maracana (Rio de Janeiro
- Mineirão (Belo Horizonte)
- New Fountain (Salvador)
- Arena Pernambuco (Recife)
- Arena Castelao (Fortaleza)
