Former Flamengo midfielder Arturo Vidal was very harsh when asked about Vinícius Júnior’s level of play. Vidal, who now plays for Colo Colo, was unequivocal in his response when asked if Vinícius could win the next Ballon d’Or: “Vinícius is not in the top 10 in the world for me. He still lacks a lot. I would give the Ballon d’Or to Bellingham,” he said, referring to the English midfielder from Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham.

Vidal, who also played for Flamengo, did not hesitate to give his blunt opinion on the current level of football.
