Nick Firmino has made a name for himself in Atlanta in recent months. Whether it’s his record-breaking season with Atlanta United 2 where he scored 16 goals in 27 matches, or his stunning victorious header on his first team debut in MLS this summer, the 22-year-old Brazilian striker is become the city’s favorite.

Recently, he signed a professional contract linking him to Atlanta United until 2026. A fair reward for the man who led his reserve team in all offensive statistics. His performances earned him a place on the MLS Next Pro team and the honorary title of best player of the season.

Originally from Brazil, Nick came to the United States at the age of 3 with his family. Passionate about football since he was little, he always dreamed of making a living from football, like his father who was unable to realize this dream.

Called up last June for his first appearance with the first team, he rose to the occasion by scoring as soon as he came on against New York.

“To score so early in such an important match against these cheering fans was an unforgettable moment,” he recalls.

His goal

Winning definitively in MLS and winning the Cup with Atlanta United. At only 22 years old, the future seems bright for this jack-of-all-trades enthusiast of rap, basketball and animated films. A talented Brazilian who is gradually making his way in American football.

Since then, Nick has carved out a place for himself within the professional group, supported by his reserve teammates and then the first team. Endowed with very promising technical talent and remarkable calm, he works hard to confirm.
