The relationship between Paris Saint-Germain’s two star strikers, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, appears to have taken a hit recently. Indeed, the two players decided to stop following each other on Instagram, which intensified rumors of tensions between them.
For some time, persistent rumors had been circulating that Mbappé no longer wanted to share the spotlight with the Brazilian player within the Paris team. These speculations fueled the French press and were even reinforced by the departures of Messi and Neymar from the club. However, these rumors have never been officially confirmed.

Neymar’s shocking like of a controversial post on Mbappé
It is worth noting that just before his departure from PSG, Neymar liked a post on Instagram openly criticizing Mbappé’s behavior. This post, shared on social networks, included an alleged quote from an article published by the French newspaper “L’Equipe”.
“During last summer, Kylian Mbappé made it clear to PSG that there was no longer room for him and Neymar in the same team. Coincidentally, on the day Neymar was virtually announced at Al-Hilal, Mbappé made his return to training, flashing a beaming smile,” it was mentioned in the post.
Curiously, Neymar’s Instagram account reacted by liking this controversial post.
Neymar eventually left Paris Saint-Germain to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia in August this year. As for Mbappé, despite speculation surrounding his future at PSG, he has chosen to stay with the team for the 2023/2024 season.
