Ronaldinho Gaúcho left an impressive mark on Barcelona during his time at the club, especially with his spectacular goals that delighted fans around the world.

One of the most memorable moments came exactly 16 years ago, on March 1, 2006, when Ronaldinho scored a stunning goal – his last for the club, a bicycle kick against Atlético de Madrid . Despite a 4-2 defeat at the Vicente Calderón stadium in Madrid, Ronaldinho’s goal epitomized his exceptional skill and creativity on the pitch.

Dribbling, passing, true magic on the field

  • During his time at Barcelona between 2003 and 2008, Ronaldinho played 250 games and scored an impressive 110 goals;

Ronaldinho’s career as a Barcelona player was crowned with individual awards, such as FIFA’s Best Player in the World in 2004 and 2005, as well as the Ballon d’Or in 2005.

In five seasons in Spain, Ronaldinho Gaúcho played 145 matches in the Spanish Championship and scored 70 goals.

He won the 2004-05 and 2005-06 editions and was elected the Best in the World by FIFA in 2004 and 2005. In the latter year, the Wizard also won the Ballon d’Or from France Football magazine.

Ronaldinho scored his first  goal in the Spanish league on September 1, 2003,  in his  second match in the competition.  On that occasion, Barcelona and Sevilla drew 1–1 at Camp Nou.

Since his debut in the Brazilian men’s national team, he has played 97 games for the country, scoring 33 goals.

Of this amount, 10 appearances were in the World Cup, scoring two goals, against China and England, both in 2002. He also contributed  four assists.
